Board our luxurious coach at one of our pick-up points and relax onboard, enjoying the journey to Donegal. Our destination is Harvey’s Point, one of the most famous and awarding winning hotels in Ireland, renounced for its hospitality, service and stunningly beautiful location set on the shore of Lough Eske, shadowed by the Bluestock Mountains just outside Donegal Town. Check into your beautifully appointed room with a focus on space, light, sheer luxury and opulence. Dinner is served this evening in the hotel’s restaurant.
Following a delicious breakfast, that Harvey’s Point in famous for, board the coach for an excursion to South West Donegal and to Killybegs and the Sliabh League Cliffs.
The Sliabh League Cliffs are Ireland’s highest sea cliffs where the cliff face of Bunglas rises over 600m above the raging Atlantic Ocean. The viewing area offers terrific views of The Wild Atlantic Way, the Sligo Mountains and right across Donegal Bay. We have arranged for a local minibus to take our guests from the coach park the few miles to the viewing platform.
Our next stop is to Killybegs, a deep water harbour with its shimmering waters and glorious coastline, this area is famous for its maritime culture. Here we board Atlantic Coastal Cruises for a 1 hour cruise around Killybegs harbour. It is Ireland’s largest fishing port with some of the world’s most modern & high tech Pelagic fishing vessels, our cruise will show you lots of local points of interest such as Rotten Island and St John’s lighthouses, Salmon Fish farms and local maritime wildlife which thrive in Donegal’s rich warm waters.
You’ll then have some free time in Donegal Town before returning to our beautiful hotel to enjoy dinner and a relaxing evening.
Today we’ll travel to Derry City for a gently paced walking tour of this city, steeped in Irish history with our local tour guide. See the Bogside, Derry’s Wall, The People’s Gallery (Murals) and learn about the Bloody Sunday Story. Free time for personal sightseeing or shopping in the afternoon before we make our way back to our hotel overlooking Lough Eske for our dinner.
Following breakfast, we check out of our hotel, making our way south to Belleek, in the county of Fermanagh. We’ll visit Belleek Pottery Visitor’s Centre, before heading back to our original pick-up points.
